I chose to use the moon (Earth's satellite) to represent the Salone Satellite design event as a graphic on my chair:

Chair Assembly

First, assemble the backrest:

The back rest is made up of a loop and 2 ribs:

Then you assemble the main body:

The back rest is inserted into the hole in the main piece:

Fold in the bottom flaps an that's all there is:

Making Progress.

I've tried to keep wastage down to a minimum and I think I dit pretty well. i only ended up with a few offcut scraps. no major wastage areas:

My design relies highly on ribs slotting in to an outer 'loop' or 'skin'.

Here's an experiment where i've made a slot for a rib to fit into a curved section:

I though the stripped section on the curve looked a bit weak so here is an alternative method:

I also thought i'd see how tight a blind tabbing system could be:

This tab fit rather tight and i think it would be a good joining method.
