Event Profile:

The exhibition supports young designers as they enter the world of design by presenting them to manufacturers and talent scouts who come in search of interesting new projects.

“A more solid approach and a better product-price balance on the one hand, but on the other, a desire to retreat into a world of dreams and extravagance. These are two typical reactions provoked by the current global crisis, which has not led to a dampening of creative spirit or to a levelling of ideas.”
Manlio Armellini, Ceo of Cosmit

Exhibitors:

Along with around 700 students of industrial design, designers and architects, under the age of 35, 22 design schools from 14 countries will exhibit their work, which will include a range of furnishings, accessories, lighting and prototypes. The event, no manufacturers are admitted. Admissions are subject to the approval of a panel of architects, designers, journalists and manufacturers.

Individual designers cannot participate more than three times and design universities and schools can only participate once. This procedure guarantees opportunities to newcomers.

Exhibition Space:
Salone Satellite exists within a large open space filled with various exhibits. Minimalist exhibition spaces provide a neutral background for students to present their design ideas.

Esquisse 4

Here is my 60x60x60 box, all accurate and it stays together on its own where i made the blind interlocking joint!

Esquisse 3 (Part2)

Ok, here are some geometric representations of leaves using the fibonacci sequence;

This one is a fern leaf, the size of the fronds and the spacing between them all increase according to the fibonacci sequence.

The length of the fronds is eqaul to the diagonal of increasing fibonacci squares.

A new fern leaf uncurling follows the fibonacci spiral.

Fibonacci Spiral

The length of the ribs and the spacing between them all follow the fibonacci sequence in this leaf.
